After Jadis lost her arm during a duel and was bleeding out and on the brink of death, she was given a second chance by a lich seeking an apprentice. The two made a pact: he gave her a second life and a prosthetic to replace her missing limb, and she agreed to serve him. While she has doubts about their arrangement, she still thinks pulling out a magic sword out her arm is cool every time she does it.
